Wizard eyes appear when children (and presumably adults as well) are exposed to Magyk; their eyes turn from whatever color they were previously to bright green. This process happens gradually.[citation needed]
Etymology
In ancient civilizations, green eyes were said to be auspicious, and a sign of magic, as they were the color of life.
